Science

The Montour High School Science Department Course of Study reflects a rigorous and relevant comprehensive curriculum that is vertically articulated as follows: Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The course of study includes both honors, advanced placement (AP), and college in the high school (CHS) courses along with a menu of elective course offerings including; Honors Anatomy and Physiology, CHS Anatomy and Physiology, Botany, Investigations in Environmental Science, CHS Environmental Science, Astronomy, and Principles of Biomedical Sciences. All biomedical sciences courses are offered via the Project Lead the Way curriculum.

Each of the above courses reflect curriculum that is aligned to the Pennsylvania State Standards and Grade 11 PSSA Assessment Anchors and Eligible Content in preparation for the PSSA Science Grade 11 Assessment. Course curriculum specific to Biology and Chemistry are aligned to to the Pennsylvania Keystone Assessment Anchors and Eligible Contnet.  

Courses offered within the Science Department are included within the MHS STEM Academy.
