For students considering education as a post-secondary exploration, the Future Educators Association is a great place to explore the option.  FEA is a co-curricular activity that sponsors and supports students who are interested in pursuing education as a career. 

Students have the ability to join in the fall and the application process consists of a short application and brief essay.  This chapter is also an honors chapter, which requires students to maintain a 3.0 GPA and complete a number of service hours throughout the year.  These service hours can be obtained by participating in FEA activities.  Some FEA sponsored activities include:  after school tutoring at Forest Grove Elementary school, Santa Teacher’s breakfast, “helping hands”, teacher appreciation week, MHS teachers of the month, MHS staff birthday cards, and Read Across America day. 

Being a member of FEA will allow students to gain valuable hands-on experiences working with peers, teachers, and younger students.
